Perennial Border
A mixed perennial border designed for full sun and long bloom — Russian sage and salvia for blue, yarrow for yellow, smoke bush and a young fruit tree for structure.
Selected work
Rob's work spans Hudson Valley garden design and large-scale urban and commercial installations. A few recent projects below.

Garden design & installation
A mixed perennial border designed for full sun and long bloom — Russian sage and salvia for blue, yarrow for yellow, smoke bush and a young fruit tree for structure.

Hardscape & garden installation
A flagstone terrace tucked between brick buildings, framed by serviceberry and a deep layered planting of ferns and perennials. A quiet outdoor room in the middle of the city.

Residential design & install
A new build set into a coastal hillside, with hydrangeas and ornamental grasses anchoring the foundation and a wraparound border softening the line between house and shore.

Hardscape & shade planting
Stone slab benches set into a layered shade planting of ferns, hellebores, and conifers — a contemplative space at the base of a residential tower.

Commercial interior planting
A two-story atrium installation with overhead trailing greens, structural specimen trees, and a dense bromeliad and fern understory at the mezzanine level.

Commercial interior planting
A floor-to-ceiling living wall built into a lounge — a tapestry of plant textures sized and integrated to the room.

Tree installation
A grove of columnar beech installed for an urban site — mature trees, properly staked, with engineered drainage and structural soil for long-term health.

Streetscape & commercial planting
Custom street-level planters with ornamental trees, seasonal color, and shade-tolerant groundcovers — designed for high-traffic sidewalks.

Specialty planting
A sculptural courtyard planting built around a mature ficus, with bromeliads epiphytically mounted in the canopy and a striking ground composition of agaves and bromeliad clusters.
